The Rural Transportation Advisory Committee (RTAC) is the governing policy body for the Mid-Carolina RPO. Its membership includes elected officials, local government representatives, and the region’s representative on the North Carolina Board of Transportation. The TAC provides policy direction, coordinates communication, and helps guide the development of the regional transportation program.

All members of the RTAC are required to file initial and annual financial and real estate disclosures called the Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) form and Real Estate Disclosure (RED) form. These two forms are filed with the Ethics Commission at the time of initial appointment; thereafter, both forms are filed during the annual filing season which runs concurrent to tax season—January to April 15. Meeting Schedule
The TAC meets quarterly on the fourth Wednesday of the month. For the convenience of our members, they are held both in person at the East Regional Library, and via Microsoft Teams. All meetings are open to the public (a Teams link can be provided upon request).
